Karma is not important anymore, or at least not the most important thing. I have/had accounts that are 1 month and 7 years old, from 500 to 8000 karma. Younger accounts get shadowbanned a bit more easily, older accounts are banned on a different way - you can still post text and photos, even some high quality links sometimes and only the spam posts are getting shadowbanned. The point is that spam filter is working in a different way now.
