Experienced Site Flipper Needed

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of buying a website and a forum, dedicated to a very popular computer game. Since my one and only intention is flipping the sites (the main site and the forum are completely separate from each other, hence the plural), I'm looking for someone who would help me successfully flip them.

The blog-style website has hundreds of posts (unique quality content), thousands of (legit) comments and gets around 30k monthly uniques. The forum has around 2000 posts and a few hundred members. Neither of the sites are currently properly monetized.

I won't disclose the purchase price or the terms of the deal, but I'm looking to flip both sites at around $700-$900 total (we can sell them either as a package or separately). If you think this is a realistic goal then please PM me ASAP and let's do it.

You will get 25% of the final price for your efforts, or more if you think it would be beneficial to hold on to the sites for some time and tweak them in order to bump up the price and are willing to deal with it.

I see a price point of $2500 range, depending on the forum statistics, and how much of the content is paid postings. Thats without monerterization.

Now, stick a rotating banner for $ 50-75 a month for 5 advertisers

and a Main banner of 2 advertisers for $150+ a month, your price point will go to about $7000.

Thats without adsense, adsense is kinda fubar, except on the forum inside the posts.

For those of you who don't know, Left 4 Dead 2 is a very popular first person shooter game that has been out for less than a month and already sold 2 million copies.

You should definitely look at more money in this sense. If you would like to talk more at length, I would be happy to make myself available.

I know flippa quite well and even have one auction up there at the moment. Writing a good sales copy isn't an issue for me either (my main business is copywriting/publishing). The reason I'm looking for a partner is that I have never dealt with websites of this price range (i've been only selling newly built sites for few hundred dollars tops each) and need someone to make sure that I don't make any deadly mistakes that may lower the price / the amount of bids I get. If the game has just been around for 2 months, why don't hold onto the sites for sometime at least 4 more months (that is if you can maintain them). Otherwise, you may find yourself banging your head against the wall if you let them go too soon.

You gotta give product developers time to put out complementary products which in turn increases the value of the your traffic.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually thinking about this - and it would be good in terms of getting the price higher as well, because I could properly monetize the site and sell it with revenue proof. However, the main problem with this scenario is maintaining the site - I most definitely won't do it myself (simply don't have the time) and since it's a rather specific niche, finding a worker/freelancer who would do it and not charge ridiculous amounts of money for it can be a serious headache. That's why I've decided to either flip it now or hold on to it for maximum one month (so that I can monetize it and show some revenue numbers).

Thanks for everybody who contacted me. I got to speak with some really nice people and even though most either had even less experience in flipping high-ticket sites than I myself do and those who were experienced wanted percentages that were way too high, I did find myself a capable partner and both sites is now successfully listed for sale on Flippa.

To all of those who said that I should hold on to the sites - it was a very difficult decision but since I have absolutely no time to deal with the sites myself and finding a capable partner isn't too easy either, I decided to go for the quick&easy solution and sell them as they are.
