Experience promoting CB products on Google Plus?

Hey guys have anyone tried promoting products on Google Plus? If so, how was the experience? I am trying it right now my joining communities related to the niche and posting a nicely worded ad with the bitly affiliate link. No luck so far but I've only been at it for a day and a half lol so I don't expect anything right now. Am I wasting my time long-term though?

Never worked for me to be honest, it looked to easy to be true lol
