Is there an experianced blogger that will take a look at my blogging site and tell me if I have set it up ok.
Or if there is anything else I need to do.
It is an adsense type of blog, however am thinking of also putting affiliate products on there.

If you would like for me to repay you someway then please say.

I appreciate any help I can get on this..

Let me know and I will give you details of site etc

Thanks

Thanks Needlinks

I appreciate it.
Just wish there were lots more like you around these forums that want to help out.

Sent a PM

You shouldnt have to pay for opinions. Shoot me a pm and I will take a gander for ya also.

Hey thanks.
Yep I am believe the same as you But you will be surprised at who actually PMs me and says they will for $10 or $20. One even asked for $50.

I am the first to help out where I can. And if I have some program or file on my drive that someone wants, then I will only be to happy to send it over.

Unfortunately there are those that always want something in return

So thanks

this site w3.eblogtemplates.com may help you.

How can that help me. I had a look and it is just free blog templates

I wanted to know more about the final setup that makes these work.

But thanks anyway

I think it looks good. The only thing I see I would change is move the search box over to right side, and put <!--more--> tags on your posts so they have to click to see the rest of the story, That also helps prevent having a very long index page, Alot of folks wont take the time to scroll down.

I would also recommend the share plugin, so people can submit it to social bookmarking sites. You can get that here

Code:
http://sharethis.com/publishers/getbutton/

Other than that it doesnt look to bad for your first blog.

O yea, one more thing, Find you a newsletter or optin plugin so visitors can optin and you get some email leads. Well another, Ad a contact us page too, that will also get some email leads for a mailing list.

Ok great. thanks for the reply
will look at that tomorrow then.
Not sure how I can put the <!--more-->
any clues as to how to do this

Basically what you do is find where you want to end you post on the front page and click on the "more" box

Anything after that will show up on the post page. It has to be in the Visual part when editing or writing.

Or you can add

<!--more-->

In the HTML view.

there are some notes available online which can help you to improve your blog, you can also look for some freelancers

so are you saying I need to do this <!--more--> thing within each post?
and if I have 300 posts published and scheduled, that would take ages..
is there anyway I can di it within the WP setup.

As the is no "front page" because each day there will be nw blogs on the "front Page"

Or do I have this wrong in what I am saying

Well I guess there are notes online for everything. Just got to find the right ones.
and if I hire a freelancer then how do I learn to do it myself?

If your looking for tutorials, then heres a damn good site.

Code:
http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/

What exactly is your goal here? How to optimize it and all that? I say do a search on the board for "wordpress" and you will find ALOT of helpful threads, plugins, and themes.

there are also some theme like i use both of my blog... when my articles too long they will automatically will do that....

if you have a lot of post maybe you just need to do that for your article that on your home page...so, the new article you should do like that
