Exit grabber?

not sure if this is the right area for this question, but is anyone familiar with exit grabber? supposed to display a big popup box when someone moves the mouse to the top area of the web browser while on your page to stop them from going to leave. anyone have any experience with this and how did it work out for you?

i guess i will be the guinea pig and try it out then..

is there any other tools available to do this same thing that is freely available for download?
 
It's rather irritating when you visit a website and that happens. I have come across a software that I believe that does the same thing.
 
Yea I will also like to know more about this software. Any information is recommended. I want to see if it is effective.

i haven't actually seen it on any pages in my web travels yet, other than on thier sales page. i think its fairly new though.

what is the name of the other software that does the same thing? i was thinking of just writing some software to do the same thing, but i just dont have the time right now and its probably better off just buying a finished product since it seems reasonably priced compared to the amount of hours it'd take to write my own. im pretty sure its nothing more than popping up an alert box triggered by an event where the mouse moves to the menu and toolbar areas of the browser
 
Hello - I'm new. Saw this and thought i could give some input. I used action announcer. It's pretty good. I've seen some really cool layouts though on sites like affiliate x that I'd like to use. But yea, affiliate x is like 17 or so. Real cheap and worth it.
 
this is a fairly easy thing to do. You just need to use an img and Javascript using onmouseover(func2openPopup) then just write a little function for what you want to do.

You might have seen that page turn thing as well. It's just a simple Javascript onclick() with a swap of images from the small peeling back to the whole page peeling back.
 
Also any way you can monetize your sites is good.

no, the only way to block them is if javascript is disabled in whatever browser you are using. regular popup blocker in firefox will not block it
 
I have a free exit popup script for anyone who wants it.

I did not write the script and have never used it, but the
person who wrote it freely distributes it.
