I have a website that is about 3 years old and PR2. I use this website in my regular day to day business so it is important to me. I am getting ready to go after a couple of hard keywords on it, but the domain name itself does not contain my target keywords. When I purchased this name I was going for something "catchy" rather than having the search engines in mind. What I am wondering is, should I set up a new website with a keyword containing domain to go after these keywords at this point? Or should I stick with what I have, which is an irrelevantly named domain that has had relevant content on it for the last 3 years. Any advice is appreciated!

Depends on the backlink you build on that website.

IMO, you should keep the domain and build backlinks with your target keywords as anchor text
