I know everyone says "exercise" yada yada... I always avoided it because well I'm skinny and felt the time would be better used working.

Wrong. There is simply no replacement for what exercise does for the brain. For the last week I've been getting up, drinking a full glass of water, and then running 1+ miles. Results? I've finished more work in 1 week than all last month, at least I feel that way.

I notice my brain no longer gets "hung up" on silly problems that a 5 yr SEO such as myself should not be worried about. I also have been thinking of strategies and testing things I hadn't even considered over the past few months since Penguin.

So if you don't currently exercise, DO IT... I promise you it will directly impact your business in a positive way.

Totally works.

I get up at 5am every day...hit the gym from 5:30-7am then work....and go back for an hour of cardio around 9-10pm.

I have more energy then ever!

It is good for the mind and body! Fully agree! Get healthy, in shape and be more productive. It is a great feeling

It's true. Exercise pumps blood in all parts of the body faster, even brain. And also there is a psychological side: You give yourself some time to relax from SEO. From that point of view, you get better ideas and watch things from completely different angle.

Not to say you get rid of all the negative energy and stress that was accumulating over the days, months or years.
Congrats, that is why all businessman do regular daily exerciese routine. Keep up!

I work out all the time.... its more of a lifestyle than anything for me

I've been lifting weights far longer then i've been in IMing.. And although i feel great and look great, Im actually at a stage where it gets in my way of IMing and i hate it.. but as i've been going for years i keep it up to not loose the work i put in!

Swings in roundabouts i guess.

Yea I exercise almost everyday too. I feel energetic throughout the day, the days I don't exercise I feel lazy and don't get anything done.

I concur 150%. It's the best cure for overcoming creative blocks too. (You don't have to be a writer to get that dreaded "writers block", which is just a sign you've been trying too hard and denying yourself the inspirational experiences.)

I started doing yoga recently, and joined a gym so I can go do cardio and some weights whenever the need strikes, but my favorite exercise is still going for a hike/walk or mowing the lawn. I can't say that I love cleaning, but with some music it's the most practical daily exercise and it also works because nothing slows down my work productivity on the computer like being in a dirty house.

I know this yet have got lazy and am in a mental battle with myself to restart exercise. I know it'll help yet I just can't get back into a routine to do it

Anyone have ideas on how exercise (mainly sports) lowers school grade? I heard that rumor around but figured it's related to working your job too (internet marketing).

just because it works for you doesn't make it a FACT as you say. lately when I exercise I just want to sleep.

Wow I bet you'd argue with a tree buddy. Exercise makes blood pump throughout your body, including your brain. FACT.

More blood to your brain = more clear thoughts, increased productivity. FACT.

If you're exercising and then tired, you're doing something wrong.
I am a Vegan (no meat, eggs, milk, dairy, etc.) of 3 years, and I still have TONS of energy afterwards.

Exercise is great, but anyways let's not forget that we LIVE in a physical body but we are truly spiritual beings, if you have never meditated, you are missing out on true potential, I exercise every day, and I have been meditating for a year now and it's one of the best habits I ever created, it's part of my daily routine, even if you meditate for 15 mins in one day you'll be amazed at the ideas you can come up with when you are able to connect with your inner self.

Well clearly high school kids that play sports will be distracted from their "studies" ... i.e. possibility of lowering grades.

But let's not be silly... it's absurd to say exercise would negatively impact your performance in IM, absolutely absurd.

Mediation does not work for me, never has... I take 30 min naps etc if I get tired.

I agree with your statement. I have hundreds of hours research into ancient mythology,
regarding the "spiritual" side of how the universe works.

Nothing to do with religion. I refuse to subscribe to any religious cult(s).

I wish, I could. Damn.. I sleep at 5 am. Might have to work out a bit on my schedule.

Lol I'm just going to bed when you're waking up... My best work happens between 10pm-5am.

I wake about 1-2pm and get the day started
