Hi,

I found a few videos uploaded by other uploaders of live performances of a certain group. Some of these videos are repeated, meaning others have downloaded the performance and reuploaded them again.

Then I downloaded and reuploaded these videos that the others have uploaded without any change, and always get the may have content that is owned or licensed by ZZZ. As a result, the video has been blocked on YouTube.

Any idea why others are able to do it?

After that, I tried changing the pitch slightly as well but it didn't help.

It's been discussed a million times in the youtube section of the forum. Search for it and you'll find your answer ;)

I did. Other than creating new content.

I tried changing pitch, adding images. Thing is, I'm surprised that downloading the exact same content the other uploaders have successfully put onto YouTube doesn't work, since the other uploaders have successfully managed to get this content up.

Why is it so important to reupload summat pre-existing? Anyway , since you are on a SEO forum , your probably trying to monetize , which makes you more scrutinized automatically. The clone uploads are probably done by non marketing non monetizing accounts that : filed a fair use dispute , and , the videos are up on a limited basis in fair use dispute limbo.

There's a method I'm trying to test using these videos, and I thought if I uploaded existing videos that were already approved, it'd be fine.

This is on an account that doesn't have adsense and is > 5 years old.

I'll go and try adjusting the videos more then. Perhaps edit and add more scenes here and there.

Haven't considered that these people file fair use disputes, because some of these people upload related videos everyday.

Thanks anyway!

yeah, there are some people that keep appealing fair use disputes to keep pirate content up forever. This is an unspoken youtube policy. more than half of youtubes actual content is uploaded 3rd party. If youtube really buckled down on 3rd party like they are truly capable , they would be trailing places like : vimeo and liveleak with only poor resolution videos people filmed of their cats.

Dispute your fair use , and your vid will stay up forever , as long as you don't adsense link or hyperlink direct to the conversion

link another yt vid that links the conversion , launder the link...on first account : "another good you tube video here" leads to: second account ; non-proprietary video , link(s) found in description.

Re-editing is a waste of time, their detection of sources they have on file is damn good, even under the scrutiny of : editing that makes the video unintelligible, after all youtube poopers get detected on DMCA , and have to dispute fair use ALL THE TIME , and , they step on footage till its not even what it actually is anymore. YT detection only needs one frame , and that frame can be pretty stepped on.

They let 3rd party slide on purpose to have more watchable stuff on their site. They may be kicking you , because , you are the one too many to post that , and , they don't want the server clogged with clones, OR you are directly re uploading a download , and , the others are uploading copies of the source of the original uploader.
