are domains with - in between words almost as good as without? example:how-tocure-hemorroids.com howtocurehemorroids.com? thanks!

They arent as nice to look at but if you do a search usually a few "a-b-c-d-e" are in the top ten.

so do you think i should give it a go? word im talking about has about 6k exact searches per month and is kind of a buying word as it starts with treatment

they are called "stop words", and have questionable effectiveness

but good lord, if you are gonna hyphenate between some of the words, you better hyphenate them all, don't put "tocure" (or whatever) without them if you have them between other words.

It dosnt matter for SEO in my opinion.

It does matter if you want people to try and find your site again via type in.

Thats exactly what i wanted to know, if it mattered for seo. If it doesnt im buying it and apparently it doesnt.

Rather than having having dashes, I would prefer adding one more word. It would be much better SEO like howtocurehemorrhoidsfast.com if the exact match is not available.

I have heard that it is better to just add another small word like what was suggested above, however I had no problems ranking for my hyphenated domains.

so you did it like dashes in between? Did you find you needed less backlinks since it was exact keyword match?

Do not try to use more than one dash. Of course you can use 2-3 even 4-5 but less is more and good here.

For what I have learned by reading some of the posts by reputable members about it - two is the max and anything higher than that is a huge spam signal. If the exactmatch.com/.org/.net is not available I always go for a exatmatchguide.com or exatmatchinfo.com (depends on the phrase) and it works fine.
