I'm a pretty firm believer in exact match domains. We have some sites in a huge market ranking #1 with very little work and they've been there for a couple years now.

So my question is how close do you guys feel just adding an "e" as a prefix is to exact match.

For example:

ekeyword (DOTt) Whatever

Depends on how tech/geeky/web 2.0 or wtf other trendy niche it's in. There was a similar thread a week or two ago about some name like ecancer or eleukemia or something, e some horrible disease is the bottom line there, and general consensus was it kinda sucked since people looking for cancer info were not really gonna be that swayed by the e prefix (I'm not saying I agree with that, just recall perusing the thread).

Now if you're talking any niche or name that could be slightly trendy, techie, hot or even social networking or whatever crap the kids are into these days, then an e at the beginning is no knock.

ya just found that thread. Thank you for the input
