Exact Match Domain Question - Base Keyword

There is a shortage of exact match domains in my niche (very common problem), but I have picked up some domains that have a portion of the keyword I am trying target. The question is, will having the first 1-2 words of a keyword phrase in the domain name, and then having the 3rd and 4th words in the URL path still give me a ranking advantage? I'm hoping someone has tested this and can share their results (no assumptions!).

Example:

miamicar_com/insurance
cartitle_com/loans
postit_com/note

I still see instances where the _com EMD ranks extremely well (usually #1 pr #2). I also see net, org, us, co, and info TLDs doing decent.
 
checkout domain history, its these domain never registered before, you are good to go. but if you brought expired or deleted domain, i doubt if you will cover up your domain cost or not.
 
No more then 2 keywords in a domain as a rule of thumbs, since if its more it looks useless and without authority at all!
 
people still thinking that EMDs are bad? hmm.. you do realise that the update only applies to low quality EMDs dont you? Most of my sites are EMDs and are ranking well and have been for a few years. As long as they relatively short and not a whole sentence (miamicarinsurance.com, as opposed to, wheretogetmiamicarinsuranceforcheap.com) you should be good to go.
 
I think google does not care about exact match domain anymore. You can still rank in you have good seo
 
So, it's fine then if we have two words in the domain name.. and if it is a long tail KW you are targeting the remaining words
will appear in the URL? Sorry for the silly question but just want to confirm this. Thanks you all.
 
Depending on the history of domain, & based on your niche you can chose the domain... its really not a big matter talking about EMD as when recent algorithms are coming from google.
 
EMDs aren't inherently bad, but from my experience you don't need them... Proper URL conventions should be fine

I have found otherwise. I recently puchased a EMD and although it has only a few hundred global monthly searches. I immediately started of on page 4 of google and number 1 spots on both yahoo and bing. So, I wouldnt say they are a TOTAL waste, there is definitely SOME weight to be held in EMD's however small it is

Thаt'ѕ mу undеrstаndіng аnd еxреrіеnce аѕ wеll. Thеrе іѕ nо advаntage tо hаvіng аn EMD аnymоrе but thеrе іѕ nо penalty fоr hаvіng thеm. You јuѕt hаvе tо bе cаrеful wіth hоw уоu dо yоur аnchоr tеxt e.g., dоn't uѕe whаtеvеr yоur EMD keywоrd іѕ аѕ yоur аnchоr аѕ muсh.

No mаtter whаt yоur dоmaіn nаmеs аrе, іf уоu uѕe dirty, scrappy аnd foolіѕh SEO techniquеs, аnd Google dеtects unnаtural оf thе sіtes, thеy wіll bе punіѕhеd.

Dоn't cаrе tоo muсh аbоut dоmaіn but thе vіѕіtоrs!
