Currently, most of the gambling keyword sites at the top of our country apply EMD.

If the keyword is 'TotoSite', the domain is operated as a domain that includes 'TOTOSITE'.
There is about one site that is not.

When using EMD, I think it's inefficient because I have to work with a new domain.

But looking at these top rank sites, my mind is starting to change.
Is it right to start with a new domain even now?

Yes, EMDs are still helpful in ranking higher in search engines. Also, strong on page structure, quality content, relevance, and user experience.

EMD is still working but that's not only the main reason to rank any sites. That's only a part of ranking. There are other factors like keyword optimization, user experience, off page SEO ect... If you already have a site and if you have made lot of works on it then you can use the same domain. If you are new and want's to start a new site then you can consider for EMD domain...

why not try with expired/aged domains? It's something people are doing in casino for indonesian Google.

EMDs are helpful, but only that does not help, you should keep your website optimized, and create better content/value and backlinks, so you can rank up.

Keywords in the domain will help but don't forget to get some relevant backlinks. A domain name and content alone are not reason enough for google to rank you.

EMD always has it's own popularity and power for drive traffic in a quick way.

Judging by my monitoring, the importance of EMD domains has increased again.
Because in the period 2012-2020, their influence was low and you could even get a penalty.
But now, with good content, I think EMDs are regaining their lost ground.

Yes absolutely - especially for a new site.
Started a new local site with EMDs + edited AI content and was able to rank on bottom of first page within 4 months.

Didnt go nuts on links yet either...

Yes, starting with an EMD can be worth it, as it seems to help top-ranking sites in your niche.

Despite what the clever fellas above me said, I think an EMD has no advantage over a domain name that explain what the site is about.
For example:
Code:
InteriorPainterInNY.com
is no better than
Code:
WePaintHouses.com
in the same way that keyword density is not important and targeting keywords is an old practice compared to writing about topics.

EMD can provide a slight advantage if the target domain matches the search intent, but I think that’s it.

Using an exact match domain (EMD) like "TotoSite" can help with initial ranking boosts due to the inclusion of the target keyword in the domain. However, it may not be the only factor that leads to sustained rankings or long-term SEO success. If top sites in your niche are using EMD and performing well, it could be worth considering, but don’t overlook the importance of other factors like content quality, backlinks, and overall domain authority. Starting a new domain with EMD can help, but it's not the sole solution for SEO success.

i still use EMD for short term Projects

EMD + Homepage PBN Links . This works for me

It doesn't make sense for larger projects. As others write short term PNs still make sense. But Google has been evaluating this differently for a long time and it's a prehistoric method.

Absolutely, EMDs can still be effective, especially in niche markets like gambling. But remember, just having the exact keyword in the domain isn’t a silver bullet. It’s crucial to combine it with solid content, backlinks, and a good user experience.

If you're considering starting fresh with a new domain, weigh the pros and cons. A strong brand and quality content can often outweigh the benefits of an EMD.

Let me know if you need any help with SEO or anything!

As far as I know it works but SEO Persons says that PMD is better approach.
