Exact Domain or Normal Domain?

Hello guys :) !

I am going to buy 10-15 domains next week to start building some great affiliate niches with Amazon and ClickBank, but I am not sure if buying exact domain for keywords or normal domain.

I think that normal domains are more secure with Google updates, but a bit harder to rank. Also, if there is a normal domain, which type of name do you recommend?

For example: If keywords are about Forex/Stocks do you recommend something like "forexmasters.com" or you think its better to use an exact domain like "howtotradeinforex.com" ?

Thanks guys!

I think EMD still works... I have a few sights still ranking but I would build an authority site for forexmasters. The how to domain would be great to rank a video with. Good luck

Then do you recommend me creating a normal domain and then creating some posts with the keywords to rank (in title) and then just blast backlinks :) ?

Thanks !!!

I have been building non EMDs and just doing regular domains and making them authority websites... I think that what Google wants...More user friendly. I blast my inner pages with backlinks mostly.

The difference between emd and non emd has been shrinking rapidly for the last couple of years. The EMD still hold more power overall and there is nothing that says you cannot convert an emd into an authority website either. For now, they are probably still the better choice.

The trend does look like google is eliminating the emd bonus though, so if you go with an emd it can happen that one day you will loose some rankings because it looses its bonus. With a non emd that wouldn't happen as you already had to put in the work to be on position 1 without the emd bonus. With the emd you wouldn't know whether you put in enough work for it to stay after the bonus goes.

I am a bit confused, I think I am going to make both of them, and post here what are the results.
