Porn site yields charges
An Ottawa man has been charged after 18 women were allegedly recruited to perform sex acts over the Internet through the use of a web cam. Ottawa Police said a probe of the "elaborate scheme" began seven months ago and involved women between the ages of 14 and 21 recruited from Durham Region and the Ottawa area for the website known as Talen's Playground, which has since been shut down. Ryan Earl McCann, 19, is charged with sexual assault, extortion, fraud, uttering threats, the making and distribution of child pornography and other offences.
