After months of failing dropshipping, I finally succeeded and made 5000 euros in the first month with my new store.

But with the Chinese New Year and Coronavirus it has really caused damage.

Customers angry, which I understand
Supplier no longer responds or no longer comes on whatsapp.

I went to look for other suppliers and you cannot communicate normally with those people. You ask one thing and they say something else. Why are you on a platform when you can't even speak English?

It made me realize today that dropshipping via aliexpress is only good in the beginning to learn, after you know what you are doing you have to build a real brand and purchase products in bulk and private label it and store it in a fulfilment center for faster delivery.

If you do dropshipping, you have to think long term and not short term.

The situation in china is really bad, and i think it will get worse.
I hope they will find a cure for this disease.

How do you deal with this situation?

I realize that it limits your options significantly, but try to see if you can work with suppliers in Pakistan instead of China. We've been working to produce white-label apparel with Pakistani suppliers and we find theme as competitive and reliable as the Chinese.
 
" Why are you on a platform when you can't even speak English? " , While I understand English is an important language in business its not a necessity to conduct business in certain regions or platforms. People don't HAVE to know English.

I plan on cutting off Aliexpress and using a local UK supplier as I only ship to the UK and certain countries within the EU. I suggest doing exactly what you already mentioned and just looking for a local supplier.

Where do you find them?
 
Imagine how good it was for your business if you've learned chinese language as a second language in your school and now you could make proper business with chinese guys talking with them in chinese even direct on a phone.. It could take business to a next level hehe :)
 
Just buy in bulk and send your orders, try Taobao for the best prices or some other websites, there are many of this just google them. You can even label your products in some of these suppliers they provide that, buy in bulk proccess orders and send them. Make an announcement with a free bar plugin or something in your website, that the products will delay due to logistics x reason something like that. Get in that customer support reply to all emails you receive that will hold ur bizz strong man, good luck

Very well put. This is why it's so important to invest the money you're lucky enough to make in the beginning doing aliexpress or amazon affiliate sites into an endgame, the obvious one being private labeling. Just go to alibaba and contact a seller, you can work everything out there. They'll PL for you and also send you samples and only ask for shipping. Or, as @collectedpro mentioned above, proving his savvy, you can find retailers away from alibaba. Google is your best friend. That said, I've also experienced alibaba stores with better quality match a third party, non AB seller's price (from pakistan, untested with vietnam).

Dropshipping is a great idea, good way to make money. However... The best way I have learned, buy a container full of 10-20 different SKUs and fulfill it yourself. Grind it out from your garage or a small storage space.
 
I can understand your frustration but as Napoleon Hill said "every adversity brings with it equal seeds of opportunity"

You can look for other alternatives, maybe Pakistan? you never know you may find few sellers cheaper, more reliable and better at understanding English.

Its a golden rule that you dont dropship while chinese new year. The whole corona virus shit went down during that time so dont blame it.

I see some stores that put up notes becore makeing an order something like

“we are reworking our storage facility and the delivery will be delayed until XX date” and making you to accept that so in case you get chargbacked you have a proof of late delivery.


guess you just learned new thing or you just got greedy knowing the risk.

brand wise, some sellers would offer you custom branding for the products if you ask.

i was selling phone cases for like $25, paying for the case $2 and extra $1.5 for branding the case with my logo plus custom pack and everything i even send them my design for the pack. So its all matter of finding right sellers and making a good relation with them.
 
Mr Bachir sir, they don't speak English because they are Chinese people from China that speak Chinese.
 
Find local factories and let them help you ship not from AliExpress

Goodluck. China still having covid19 issue. Many Aliexpress seller also facing this problem. Many of their Logistic/ production mostly is in Halt situtation.
I doubt March resume. Maybe even longer might drag
