ok guys.. I really don't know anymore what I'm doing wrong... I hope you can tell me what to do, because I've already tried everything... 1. site: my first site is this: http://my-honest-reviews.net I have reviewed eleven clickbank products through this site! every single product has at least a gravity of 100.. most of them though are the best selling items on clickbank. or at least they were it.. every single review was at least on the first page of google.com ... some of them were even on the second or third or fourth place. they lasted there for days some of them even weeks. I have promoted these reviews with senuke... I think SEO was good.. I've read a lot about it recently and I think that I managed to seo it pretty good. if not.. please tell me what's wrong! the keyword always were "product name review" .. sometimes only the product name... the articles were optimized for the keywords.. ok.. after doing this for 2 months or so i stopped.. why?... NO SINGLE sale.. seriously I can't believe it.. I had daily just 40 - 50 visitors on the whole page.. daily maybe 1 - 3 clicks on the clickbank links.. of course it's normal that I make no sales due to such a low Click rate.. But why the hell are there so few visitors to my site when I have so many great google rankings? and even the keywords are not bad in my opinion.. because so many internet gurus tell that creating landing pages on such "buyer keywords" will bring sales.. well I didn't make any.. 2. site: I thought ok let's create a site before a product launches.. I've chosen the biggest firesale 2.. this is my blog: http://biggest-firesale-2.com/ The launch day was the 23rd november.. two days ago.. till today my blog was on the second AND thrid rank of google.. today it dropped but I really don't care.. because guess what? since the launch day two days ago I got 4 clicks! yes.. wow 4 clicks... and the keyword I specified was the product name itself! I was even on the first page for keywords like "product name bonus" "product name review" etc... So are here any guys who have the same problems? is here anyone who can answer why I'm not earning a dime?
The first thing that you have to do before get it into seo,is keyword research. If the keyword that you chose has not searches, you will not get visits and sales.
I agree with mirrorer that KW research is crucial and although it sounds like you know what you're doing I think you're just picking the wrong market to target. The internet marketing product arena is a tough one. There's a million competitors and many of the buyers are skeptical or "know how things work" and may just buy it through their own aff link, look for a torrent, look here for it ...etc. I'd try to pick some (less competitive) niche, completely unrelated to IM, and apply your process and see if you get different results.
that's the ticket. find keywords related to the products that actually get searches each month (use the adwords tool or google.com/sktools to find out) and then you'll be in the green.
ok guys.. that sounds like a good solution.. I've never really made a keyword research.. just thought that product names are a good choice.. thanks a lot!
I second mirrorer's opinion. The most important thing is keyword research. I'm ranking for a particular keyword for #3 to #8. It's constantly jumping around, I don't know why BUT the point here is that, I made a sale 32 days AFTER registering for the domain. So keyword research, and finding a keyword is in my opinion, the most important element to success(excluding list building).
the thing about most IM is they think that having the right keywords and ranked high automatically brings them sales...this is very wrong. Just think of it as an offline business. Ranking high = a premium spot in the most expensive mall in your city, so lots of people visits your site/shop. However, if your site article is not targeted to the mindset of buying people, they will just browse away. Similar to your premium shop in the mall, if you have a lousy salesgirl, most probably you get lots of traffic but no sales. I visited your site and your review stinks. Check out the top review sites and how they do it, how they review hosting, write personal articles to relate to customers. I would probably just spent 2 seconds on your site before moving on. Remember it is all about customer services online too. Seriously ask yourself, if you were visiting Code: http://my-honest-reviews.net/google-snatch-ultimatum-review/ would you even buy? Sorry to be blunt, but I;ll be happy when you achieve success.
don't want to say anything harsh but: 1. you still have a long way to go before seeing your first sale. 2. ranking doesn't mean anything. 3. you've incomplete set of puzzle. learn how to write articles that can persuade and trigger readers' emotion. 4. even casual surfers have become so familiar with clickbank and clickbank's products are so scammy. 5. understand your market, understand your keyword. keyword is conversation, market is house.
I took a look at your site and you have a lot more work to do then just keyword. First the URL name sounds fishy. my-honest-reviews. You are going to put people off with that URL. Even if someone doesnt suspect something you are setting the expectation that they are going to get a review.... Second. Your reviews are 200-300 words that are really just the bullet points from ads for the product. Thats not going to convince anyone that you gave them an honest review nor convince them that they should. Third. Run your content through a spell checker before posting. Forth. Make sure the font is the same are at least similar through the post. Its obvious you copy and pasted the body of your review then just added a sentence or two intro and then a a couple sentences at the end.
1. Clicking on your sniper review brought me a VIRUS popup so get rid of that. I would never buy shit from you if I think you're trying to infect me with virus and I don't know what the hell that pop up was. 2. Your copy is bad. You basically just copy and pasted bullet points from the sales page. It doesn't sound like you're giving an "honest review" it sounds like you're just trying to shove the product down my throat. Instead of giving a review you essentially just listed all the ingredients. But is it good? 3. You didn't do keyword research and that is the biggest problem. If you're ranking number 1 on google ad not getting any clicks than you know your keyword sucks. But really, a combination of #2 and #3 is a killer. Do your KR and actually write some reviews. IM are savvy (at least compared to the average customer), we can see through a site that is trying to sell to us, and you do a very poor job at selling. I would go with a non IM niche until you get your copy down.
Wow!! this really opened my eyes.. Thanks a lot to everyone! I can't say it often enough.. I love this place!! Really great! Let me work one week and you'll see a completely different website edit: sorry I don't know how the hell the virus came in there.. I'll delete the page immediately!
I know that.. that was actually one of the first things I've learned when I came into this IM game... But as I already said I don't work on the site anymore because I knew that this won't make me a dime.. I just tried to make some adsense money with it..
The 3 main problems I noticed with your site: 1. Not very targeted. you'd do much better to have a review site for each product. 2. Your reviews are too short and don't really pre-sell your customers. 3. You have almost no backlinks. I checked your domain on Backlinkwatch.com and you have 8 backlinks. You should be building many backlinks to every single review.
