So I’ve been running my first store for a few days now, through different means(google ads, IG, Facebook), and I get a decent amount of clicks on it. It’s 12:30 rn and I’ve gotten around 100!

Out of the 90-100, 21 have reached the cart and 18 have reached the checkout, but nobody actually converts!

What are some things I could do to increase conversions, I don’t want to keep wasting money on ads if I’m not getting anywhere.

I’ve tried free + shipping, free shipping, nice ads, I’m about to try a new strat I thought about(pricing low ticket items slightly lower than it’s Ali price and adding cheap shipping so I make 3-4 profit from the “shipping” costs)

This journey so far is super interesting and I want to succeed! But I need some slight help.

No one will buy on the first visit. You need to retarget them. Retargeting will bring you majority of the sales

Have you customized your check out page at all?

Try split testing different versions and find a winner.

well as per my opinion it's because they tried to add that 100% free+ shipping to cart so they are reaching to checkout page, once they found it costs 11$ without the additional product which you made it mandatory to get this offer then they are turning down that offer.

I actually just found the solution!!!
So a bunch of people messaged my advertisers, and apparently my shipping was messed up. I only had one super small island checked to ship to, so I went and fixed it to ship to North America Asia etc.
NOW I should see some sales

mention in the beginning itself it is 100% free with any other purchase from the store, so they wont get disappointed at the end , and people who are reaching check out page are actually aware the amount they need to pay so in that case you might get some conversions.
I am not an expert in this, its just my opinion

Make sure your checkout page gives them a reason to checkout.

Many checkout pages just simply contain the order form and nothing else.

It is important to let potential customers know that their information is secure, on top of that it is imperative to show testimonials as well as the major reasons why they should purchase from your store.

well, thats great . all the best

you should not post your site here in the open, better to remove it, trust me
Yeah I just took it down.
This was a terribly untargeted campaign and had I not had the little shopping error, I would have had 30+ sales within 2 days and had my first taste of online money.
I AM happy though, as I’m learning different little things as I go on and this is a huge lesson.
I’m gonna take other things you guys said into action and see about making my checkout page more enticing though. It is fairly bland and doesn’t encourage much trust.

Test the entire checkout process yourself to make sure its working fine. Also, optimize your checkout process for conversions, eg. use a red "buy it now" button and also try to reduce the number of steps in the checkout process to optimize for conversions

Try some lines like your one step closer to getting the product/service or someting like that. If your checkout page looks like the IRS payment page where you demand payment, people are going to leave.
