This is a quality article on the subject, with an analysis of the recent paper that was made available, testing the limits of hallucinations. They also found that with correct data, there were still hallucinations! lol
This further supports the idea that these tools are best used by those who are already experienced in their fields. That way they can spot inaccuracies.

So, AI wouldn't not be replacing any highly technical skill.
 
Reason why i tell people that, it also takes creativity and brilliance to get the most out of ChatGPT, sometimes it makes mistake, sometimes you tell it to go deep and it still gives you basic, sometimes it gives you crumbs but your ability to re-prompt to get the best of its ability makes you a genius
 
True, hallucinations seem inevitable with current AI models. The key is learning to fact-check outputs and use AI as an assistant, not a sole source of truth.
