FB is the worst.

I have a sports group. 80k members very active. The discussion of trans in sports came up. I am not taking it down because I feel it is a topic that needs to be discussed. What a mistake.

Within an hour over 20 people flag the post as "Hate Speech". Keep in mind the post itself is a link to big news site (I think it was Sky). So I left it up read through the comments, nothing too offensive, the worst thing I saw was some misgendering. 2 hours in and the post has 100s of comments. I figure as long as they are civil that is fine. What a mistake.

Now I get a notification that a comment has been removed by FB. Then another. And another. It was clear at this point that someone from FB was actively reading through the comments and deleting anything they don't like. The last thing I want is for the community stands team to actively be looking into my group so I closed off commenting.

I knew right away something was wrong.

When I logged back into the computer a few hours later, 3 new sign ups. Then this morning after 12 hours have passed, under 15 sign-ups. We usually do 100-150 a night and it has been like this for more than 2 years.

I am clearly on a blacklist and do not know what to do. I just hope my post reach is not down as well.

If you continue posting for a while, everything will return to normal. Don't worry

I've encountered this before, it's spam comments

Ok. Going to try to encourage engagement to see if it speeds things up. Fingers crossed.

Facebook might have reduced the visibility of your group in search results or recommendations due to the flagged content.
It’s a matter of time, everything will get back to normal.

Continue as usual but be careful with those topics and any protected topic remember that people love to feel ofended and repoprt even when they are treated with respect, but yeah keep everything as usual set a few rules and explaining that is not allowed certain topics and always threat anyone with respect and just wait everything goes back to normal, as you say you have a really active community so everything will should be fine soon give it at least one week.

It appears that your account has been subject to activity restrictions by Facebook, possibly due to violating policies or being reported multiple times. You should continue to actively participate in your group properly and build a positive environment, Avoid content that is controversial or violates Facebook policies. Inform group members about the situation and try to keep them there. Sometimes notification and Community support can help keep the group running.

I think your page has been restricted, just keep posting it will remove the restriction for you

Keep posting and encourage your group members to share post (if its a public group) the Shadow ban should be removed or try contacting meta support about the issue and explain everything to them they will hopefully lift the restrictions.

Could be a spam report. Please continue posting and use as normal to remove the flag

Sorry to bump up an old post. I Just want to document this for anyone else coming across a FB group ban, as it looks like mine is now over.

So the ban was for 3 months, almost to the day.

Current back up to 50+ signups a day which is not quite as high but my group is a little seasonal as well.

I must say it got worse before it got worse before it got better. I hit 0 on several days. and when I checked my stats just 2 weeks ago I noticed my membership was going down. I was actually losing more than were signing up.

Glad it's over. Onward!

I've been having the same issue. Anything posted goes to spam, doesn't matter who posts it or what it is. I keep it as clean as possible, image, text, link in comment, but still. Super frustrating. I'll wait it out, what else can I do, but should I be contacting support for this or better to not get them involved?

It appears that Facebook has reduced your group's visibility in search results and recommendations due to a policy violation or report. Just keep posting everything will be back to normal But Be careful with sensitive topics. Keep your team members informed and try to keep them on board

Actually, gender is a sensitive issue. You should learn from your experience for your next posts. You may not mean to hurt others, but the topic you posted is controversial in the community. It will be okay, bro

In the long run, diversifying the platforms you use to engage your community may be a good way to avoid the full impact of Facebook’s policies.
