Even trezor hardware wallet is not 100% safe

OP seems to be illiterate about crypto and / or unable to comprehend any news article correctly.
The trezor wallets were compromised NOT because trezor wallets are not safe, but because some idiots responded to phishing emails and then acted upon those dubious instructions and then lost their crypto that was stored in the trezor wallets. Trezor wallets are very safe, but nothing is safe if in the hands of people who do stupid things.
Trezor wallets are 100% safe.
OP's comprehension of that news article is not safe, as misinformation is being spread, because OP has not correctly comprehended that new article or rather tweet.
All of us into crypto know quite well that trezor wallets are 100% safe.
Words matter a lot : OP's thread title ideally should have been "Trezor wallet users lose crypto be acting upon phishing emails", etc. Thread title is so misleading and incorrect.

I believe there is nothing safe online.
You know even offline is not 100% safe. There was a security researcher in my country who found a method to transfer any money from any account of a popular nationalized bank even if the account did not opt for online banking or so. It was fixed after he reported them this.

This has nothing to do with the wallet itself.
To simplify things:
The actual wallet has nothing to do with Trezor, it's just a gateway to a wallet that existed ever since bitcoin was created in 2009. Your seed is just a password, and even it existed before you got it.

Nothing is safe from a social engineering attack. If you can't hack the technology hack the user's mind.

Nothing is safe when you let the doors unlocked.

Like many things hacked it is not because of the device, but because of the weakest link... and unfortunately that is the human itself.

They confirmed my wallet phrase over the phone so they could change it due to a security breach... but not in time to stop the thieves ;) :sarc
