@Evatinob Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you get more business and recover it soon. Great to see BHW members offering their help 
I generally check few things before I reach out to any member here or any other forum as big as LinkedIn as well. This doesn't mean I haven't been scammed but I was able to save myself more times than I would be scammed.
This is what I try and check:
1. Date of joining BHW and their activity.
2. Comments on other users thread and their attitude towards selling or helping.
3. If needed, asking questions which helps me actually decide whether they can provide the product/service they are selling or talking about.
4. If they really want your business, they would adjust to few things, not everyone does, but they will try and work their way out.
@SettingSun77 Can't we have something like which displays "days left for membership renewal" or "Jr. VIP level 1, 2, 3 etc" depending on their ratings and experienced on forum (just a thought)
