I wish they didnt sit back in defence for the whole game against France.

Well just my opinion.... Italy have made a perfect match today and we could score more then one goal, so I'll say that we were good enough to force the French team to play this way
We'll make up to the final!

Yes perfect game against France....as its in their blood to always start off slow as donkeys and become of a great difference from one game to another
Although i must say, respect to the netherlands....for not pulling off any scammy tactics......great sportsmanship....i really do not mind seeing them now holding the cup at the end of the tourney in any case.

Every team in the final 8 is good in it's own way.
Portugal Vs. Germany: Portugal rested all of it's star players and Germany is a team that has a knack winning tournaments.
Croatia Vs Turkey: Croatia is playing very well and won all of it's 3 qualifiers and Turkey is ON FIRE right now.
Spain Vs. Italy: Spain is playing awesome but Italy has 2 players that will miss the game because of red cards.
Netherlands Vs (runner up of group D): Netherlands is also playing absolute kick-ass soccer.
I think Portugal, Turkey, Spain & Netherlands will win these.
Then Portugal Vs Turkey ... Portugal wins 3 - 1
Then Netherlands Vs Spain .. Netherlands win 2 - 1
SO the final could be Portugal Vs Netherlands and I think the Dutch will win 3-2
Any other predictions ?????

Holland the machine great game even with half of the main team.. and forza Italia bella now the mistake with the first Italian goal with Romania that was suspended as offside, this mistake is corrected but i think that Spain will stop them..

Yah I know thats why I was saying I'd like to see that, but of course its not possible.
I honestly think Spain and Netherlands are the best match up.l
Spain could take Portugal in their current form easy.

I am going to have to stick with Portugal... Smitty, no offense, I don't think Spain could take them. Spain, albeit with two of the best forwards in the world, but they are loose in the back and don't track well on the counter. Portugal, however (when their starters are playing not their backups), have looked rather compact in the back and fantastically quick on the counter. Obviously with the wings they have it is easy to look quick on the counter. Would be one hell of a match!

I too would just love to see that match and we just might if Italy or the Netherlands don't knock Spain out.

Who knows though, Italy might just surprise some people. I won a nice chunk of change betting on them to win the World Cup from the get go.
