hope the italians will bounce back aganst romania. the coach fielded the wrong players which caused them to lose so badly.

Hey DaveNL, congratulation to the Dutch team, you deserved to win, even if the first goal was not valid 
Unfortunately Italy will be kicked out soon, thanks to our coach Donadoni which have made one mistake after the other. I do not really see our team be able to win vs the France.

France Romania was very wired game.. i think they made a deal and wait who will win Holland or Italy.. France has very weak coach for a long time and they do this deals all the time haha.. by now, Portugal, Germany and Holland are not afraid to win.. and as in any cup there must be a surprise but who..?

The goal was valid. Panucci was laying behind the line, which cancelled out the offside. Van Nistelrooy knew the rule too, he told Sneijder while they were cheering. I thought the UEFA even officialy responded saying the goal was valid. Defenders can not set up offside by stepping behind the line, even if you lay there unwillingly. The exception is when you are behind the line for injury threatment which was allowed by the referee.

Thank, well i don't think the Italians where playing all that bad, you guys had a view changes only right after that the Dutch counter attacked and scored, the only strange thing i though was why Donadoni substituted a striker for a striker when you're 2 goals down ( Delpiero in and Di Natale out something i still don't understand but was very happy with
) .But nothing is lost, you guys can beat the French, i have watch that game and the French dont impress me very much, i have expected more from them, being the finalist on the last WC.
There team is very old i believe the oldest is 38
so nothing is lost but if you dont win Romania on Friday you will go home next Wednesday, i hope you stay in because i don't like the French (and i am putting it mildly)

As a fan of England, i'll have to say, for once, i don't believe England will win this one.
Me and a load of mates normally go and watch the Euros and the WC if it's inspiring enough. Such a shame there's no reason to go this year.
I like to support teams in similar situations to ourselves, so i'd like to see perennial underachievers Spain or Holland win, but i have a feeling that they'll fall apart in the group stages and i suspect Portugal, having the easier draw, will have the legs and will probably go all the way at a canter.

Spain has way to many lightweights and a bad defense, they won't get very far imo. Maybe semi finals with some luck. Russia was very weak, they gave 3 of the goals away. Their coach said that even schoolteams don't make the mistakes the Russian team made vs Spain.

I'll not say it like this...It was a match between 2 teams that wanted more not to loose than to score..
Romanian coach has a strategy for Euro .... Strong defence and to score when other teams attack... Just like Greece has done in 2004 ...
Well after seeing Netherland playing with Italy .. I think this 2 teams will make it from the groups.. Just cant wait the match on friday between RO and IT

Hopefully it'll stay at 0-0 until the 91st minute when Romania will score
I was impressed by first half.. Romania played well but I dont like the attack ..bad finalization.. well this half will be like crazy...
