EU warns Apple not to make proprietary chips USB-C

Thierry Breton, Commissioner for Domestic Markets of the European Union, sent a letter warning Apple that such actions would not be allowed. Its phones will still be banned from sale when the law comes into effect next year. The EU is expected to publish guidance to ensure a "uniform interpretation" of the new law in the third quarter of this year.
