Strato.es offers until 31st of December .eu, .es and .com domains for a price of 0.99 euros + VAT which goes somewhere around 1.18 euros or $1.55 which is a decent price.
obviously it is the price for 1st year registration only and only one domain per account is allowed at this price.

Please be aware that they assume a 2 year contract term, which means that if you purchase a domain for 0.99 euros you will have to keep it for two years. This means that if you decide to transfer the domain from them within the first year you would need to pay the second year fee as well which obviously will assume a domain renewal for 6.45 euros which would be roughly $8.5 otherwise if you keep the domain with them it will renew at 6.45 euros after your first year.
Still getting a .com at roughly $10 for 2 years is a good deal. Also note that you only pay 1.18 euros now and you'll be paying the 6.45 only when your renewal comes or if you transfer the domain.
