Etsy: Is this method for increasing relevancy ok ?

Hi everyone,

I am an Etsy seller, and by checking the rank of one of my item in incognito mode, I clicked on it for something and when I got back to my account, the view is showing as an organic search view. As the search algorithm takes the search view into account for the ranking of your items for this particular search, I wondered if this method could work ?
Do you think that the search algorithm takes this view as an organic one or does it actually hurt my ranking because it's the same ip as the shop account ? If it works (which I'm going to figure out by myself one day or another if I keep doing this) is it allowed by etsy ? I don't want to be banned from this website as I'm not here just to make money, I like what I do

Not sure. Just you by yourself probably won't do much good. Search the forums here for help with Etsy SEO, there have been others here who have talked about it.

Thank you ! Do you think I should ask some friends to do this (if they want) instead of me ? I believe the use of a proxy for this isn't allowed by etsy. My SEO is on point, the thing is that my account is pretty new, so not many sales, no reviews for the moment, my listings are eaten by the "big ones" and go down in the search very quickly. I'm tired of constantly get up at night for reniewing them at the right US time... Which is probably when I'll be asleep in a normal day as I'm in EUrope. ^^
