I personally love Poloniex but the problem I have is that my state is blocked from using it so I had to select a state I WASN'T in to use it so I cant verify and raise my spending limits.
Now I have a $2k limit, so I opened several accounts each with $2k limits... :(

I gather that Poloniex and Kraken are the safe ones now?

Why do people trust these after cryptsy and mtgox were also "safe" once?

I wish I could answer that for you but unfortunately I can't, Never used the above two mentioned...
I have use Poloniex and Kraken, Both great platforms but Poloniex just does it all for me in one simple screen.
Second screen on cryptowat.ch (Two Monitor Setup)
I would like to find a better digi wallet to use if anyone can recommend one with quick deposits and withdrawals?

It's been a few years so please bare with me. I think online wallets are still dangerous, correct? Best thing is still that native client?

"Jokingly" I'm going to ask you how long were you under that rock?
But yes all Online "Anything" is still dangerous but life still goes on.... sites/services like coinbase and the such are still necessary these days for these digi currencies. the problem is that in the beginning their pockets got fat and with very little over watch if at all they started to disappear with peoples $$$$
Nowadays they realize it's much more profitable to stay honest and long haul with all the hype of the digital future to come.

People on reddit still seem to use coinbase but lot of complaints.

So is it best to buy with kraken and trade with bittrex?

How long under a rock? See if you can help me determine when my last trade must have been :)

Cryptsy was the last place I traded in. When I withdrew my coins from cryptsy it took hours, a day I think, and right then I thought "this system is in trouble" and never traded there again. I don't know when it crashed but I'm glad I got out. It must have been early in the cryptsy launch. When was that? Early 2015?

Things have changed quite a bit since then but NOT perfect at all.
Faster more secure system and trades.
Better tools available for research as well as stop-limit trades.
I can only share my own opinion on my own experiences with Poloniex and Kraken which is I never had a single issue with them other than missing a trade opportunity due to heavy volume and time delay with deposit/withdrawals.
Can I guarantee you a safe secure future trading digi coins....... No Sir I can not.

Nice to see someone did something about it. Since both Mt.Gox and Cryptsy had some of the same justifications "hackers broke in and stole us all". The deadline for claims ended last week, but gladly I did not lose money with them. But good luck to all who did.

I am not aware of any ETH exchanges in India but you can easily buy BTC from Coinsecure/Zebpay(Documents required, market price - a bit high) or Localbitcoins(documents not required in most cases but prices are higher than the market).

You can then move the BTC to exchanges and buy ETH or other altcoins.
 
WOW ETH is flying :) Congrats to those who've invested. :) For those who's trying to diversify their portfolio. NEM is also a good buy.
 
I am amazed at how this coin went up. I am also stunned by my stupidity that I have not invested at 124$ :|
 
Guys is it safe to buy Ethereum from Coinbase ?or what other platform is better to buy from ? I have heard these weird stories that coin base does not give you the keys, they can block you and all the stuff. Please let me know I wanna invest into BTC or ETH.
 
As i use Coinbase for quite a long time never had a problem with them.
I mean as i use it as my main waller i would like to hear if someone has any bad experience as with the ETH bull run things became serious.

You never had problem with them ? Like some people mentioned they paid but didn't see the amount in their wallet. I also wanted to know if you want to sell at high time can you do it ? I mean there is no stopping or anything ?

Hehe as i saw you posted a thread like me asking the same question.
Never had problem with verification send-deposit withdraw. They accepted my bank transfer in like 24 hours. But you know as coins are rising you always become more skeptical to do the best for your investment.

I will wait and see what other members have to say about this.

One strange thing that i don't know if i am stupid and dont understand it :P
