Errors on Google Search Console

Hi everyone

I dont have a lot of experience with google search console but for my first blog when i have posted 4-5 articles, I checked google search console and i see that there is errors marked

"
Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’"

Any ides how i can fix this? Looks like my posts are somehow marked not to index/

Im using the free version of the colormag theme if that makes any difference

check your robots.txt file, might you block google crawlers there

So do i have to delete some code?

To check robots.txt type: domain.com/robots.txt

It means you are either blocking the googlebot or meta noindex tag is present on the page. Check the source code of the page and search for noindex. Is it present?

1. Check the /robots.txt
2. If you are using WordPress make sure that in Reading Settings the Discourage engines from indexing blog is UNticked
3. Check indexing settings of SEO plugin. You might be de-indexing on page level.

when i enter mydomain.com/robots.txt

the following shows up

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

Ok i just went through all my seo plugin stuff (yoast)

and on he configuation wizard......the first time i went through that wizard i think i checked that 'site is under construction' which means it blocks google from indexing it

i just went thru the config wizard again and checked that 'site is complete' and so google can crawl the site

Is this most likely my issue? also, how long before google will crawl my site to index all the posts I made? IS there a way to speed up how soon iot will be indexed?

OK, it looks like most of my stuff is fixed, but still a few errors

IT says I have a bunch of urls tht are flagged as errors - "Sbmitted URL marked 'no index' "
When i check out the specific URLS that have these problems , all the urls are:

mydomain.com/tag/postname ....... theres 11 urls and they are all this format.....is it something to do with the tags i am entering on each post through the yoast interface?

I also have 7 URLS that have errors and it says "Submitted URL blocked by robots.txt" and all the urls are:
mydomain.com/no-sidebar-content-centered/
mydomain.com/home/
mydomain.com/right-sidebar/
mydomain.com/no-sidebar-full-width/
mydomain.com/category/category 1 (it lists one of my categories here...i prob have 8-9 categories in total )
mydomain.com/about/ <-- is this because I do not have an "about" page yet?
mydomain.com/sample-page/


WHAT HAPPEND IS I DOWNLOADED 'DEMO DATA' TO HELP ME SETUP THE EXACT LAYOUT I WANTED.......SO ON SIDEBARS IT SHOWS A BIG BLOCK OF COLOR WITH THE THEME NAME ON IT......IS THIS WHY IM GETTING THESE ISSUES WITH THE SIDEBAR URLS??

I JUST DELETED ALL THE SAMPLE DATA AND CREATED MY OWN.....IS THIS MAYBE WHY IM HAVING SOME ISSUES ON GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

When i go to the 'Coverage' part of the Google Search Console - it shows the following #s under "All known pages"

18 Error 8 Valid with warnings 45 Valid 75 Excluded

I have no idea what to do about these.

You joined BHW eight years ago and you're struggling with this? Did you enter a coma the moment you made an account?

Sounds like you don't want these to be indexed anyway, don't worry about it.

You can manually go on your about page and turn the indexing off on the right handside, should be a blue dot next to 'seo'

Do check the technical parts like robots, meta tags, descriptions, sitemaps are updated and saved correctly or not.

I joined BHW like8 yrs back and set up some easy autblogs with wp robot, auto post to twitter etc....adsense income back then, ive never used google search console so im really stumped by whats happening with these errors

Never cared about pageranks or keywords 8 years ago.....it was pure spam city lol

Now Im back trying this again....part time to supplement my full ime income. I got 4 kids and bills to pay.....finding it frustrating with some of the stuff (like this)

I also have 8 articles I wrote and posted on my blog that are show "URLS marked for no index" ....I thinkj i had a setting in yoast saying that my "site was under construction and dont let google crawl" ....i changed the setting so my new articles are fine.


ut how can i fix the 8 articles that Google Search Console are saying "no index" ??
