I was running it, the card crashed, then I added a new card and it failed. Can anyone share any tips?

In my opinion, the problem is usually not with the payment card itself. When a payment fails once, Meta often temporarily locks the ad account. Adding a new card during that time usually also fails. The best option is to wait 24-72 hours and try again, or contact Meta support to have the payment reviewed.

This is a typical Meta payment lockout error. This error is not due to your card but rather because your ad account is temporarily restricted from payments. You should not try again or change cards. Wait a while, then pay the balance once the account is unlocked, or contact support.

Occasionally I experience this, and I have to try methods like changing my Facebook profile, adding a tag, changing the tag, and adding it via the boot page.
After that, it works.

This is often a temporary payment system glitch; wait 2-3 hours, try adding the card again with the exact billing details from your bank statement, and if it persists, use a different card or contact Facebook support through the Ads Help section, as your account might be flagged for a quick security review.

Make sure the new card is fully verified with your bank and matches your facebook account info. Sometimes removing the old card completely and re adding helps.

Have you tried a different card type? If it still doesn't work, prepare an empty Business Manager (BM) and share the account you want to add the payment card to, then add your payment card again. I've tried this and it's mostly successful.

You can replace it with a Visa/Mastercard from a US provider; this card has higher credibility and a higher success rate for adding the card.

Either wait a day, change your advertising account, or simply change your advertising account. This error is on Facebook's part.

I also tried doing what you suggested, waiting 24 hours before adding the card again. But it still didn't work. None of the cards worked, even though the account still exists.

I also thought it was due to the account. But even when I tried with different accounts, it didn't work.

Thank you, I will try it.

Perhaps it's still best to contact support. Because I've tried the method you suggested and it still didn't work.

I will try your method. Hopefully it will work.

I changed the card but it didn't change anything. I'll try your method.

I am using this exact type of card.

This might be related to your account and payment card. Try changing to a different payment card. We also encountered this problem and resolved it after changing our payment card type.

Ensure your new card is verified has sufficient balance and contact support if the payment still fails

Add a new card clear cache and make sure all info matches platforms often reject sudden changes.

That’s pretty common. A card decline can trigger a temporary payment or risk flag on the account. Best move is to wait a bit, add a well-aged card, don’t keep retrying, and let the account cool down before pushing spend again.

This is a feature from Meta: if you encounter any irregularities with your previous payment, you can use a completely new Facebook profile to set it up.

When encountering a Meta payment lockout error, the cause is usually a temporary account restriction, not a card issue. You shouldn't repeatedly try again or change cards immediately to avoid being flagged for violations. Be patient and wait for the account to stabilize or contact Support. An effective tip is to share your ad account with a clean BM and then add the new payment method there to bypass the control filter.

You're probably facing the same thing I did before. Most likely it's because your account has a temporary payment restriction. Not necessarily the card. Try contacting Meta after 1 day if there's still no progress. Don't try re-adding the card or changing it because it's just a waste of your time. ;)
