Has anyone seen drastic decreases in engagement since the New Years?

I’m experiencing less than 50% ER recently vs. end of the year?

Possibily a reach decrease, going on the same steps as fb
All my accs have 50% or more less reach even the hell active ones

I think it was high the last few months because of Winter Break, Thanksgiving break, & New Year.

Almost everyone had free time. Now everyone is busy working on their New Year resolution!

Yes, this is across the board and it has nothing to do with the winter break, holidays, etc. I know experienced IG marketers in different niches and they all complain about the same thing.

Yes. And it's not because school started or whatever. it's because algorithm has changed. Instagram has done something really bad so they fucked everyones engagement. I've lost alot of views on my page, same as a lot of people that I talked to over Instagram (that have 100k+ pages) or through reddit.

Insta has done something so they fucked us everyone. Literally. All you can do is wait, and wait.

I have a page 20k followers, had 1,7 mill impressions on 4th of january, now its around 500k or even less. Discovery was 800k, now its 200k and its going down really fast.

And btw i read something that January is the worst month for social medias. I don't know exactly why, but some are saying its because ads, and all that stuff.

But then again, it could be that Instagram just wants us to pay for ads, but why knows, right?

It's not that much about holidays, Instagram implemented some AI technology which ruins ER & deletes posts. Most likely based on many reports, it will get fixed and all of our engagements will come back up.

I agree with you, but I'm not so sure about the "all of our engagement will come back up" part.

I'm not sure too don't forget Facebook own Instagram, and Facebook don't care about our ER
