I have a blog that gets 1700 unique visitors a day.
Not sure that is the stat that you would need to gauge that...
Initially I had AdSense setup (and still do on the homepage), but decided to transition towards affiliate ads on the blog posts.
Right now I am running a CJ ad (Tax act) and an impact radius ad (bodybuilding)... They are the banner type of ad.
I have been looking at a few prominent similar blogs and have seen that they use ads at the bottom of the blog post that look like suggested stories or related posts.

The banners are not converting. I've had them running for 2 weeks now and no sales. :(
I need suggestions baaaaaaaad. This site is growing and it has to start earning.

Try one at the bottom and one after the 1st paragrafh and a sidebar. Sooner or later you will get a sale

Why would tax act and body building compel people looking for entertainment to buy from you? Unless your blog is entertaining fitness gurus and tax experts no wonder why you won't get a sale yet. Please rethink along the lines of entertainment and not your pocket book, once you create content to entertain the visitor you need to work on getting them to repeatedly visit. Once they do they build trust slowly, and then you can sell them expensive electronics or vacations depending on how well you branded yourself. Hell, at that point you'd start getting donations if they liked your content.

that is a good point. I have those ads is because they were the first to approve!
That does give me something to consider... what do my visitors want?
