Enough Already

I have been reading like crazy the last month or so ? here and a few other sites. I understand most of what is talked about and can see how to implement things. I know how to design and setup sites, I have hosting and I can get my hands on stuff when needed (within reason). I have multiple sites that are indexed that I can lean on to get indexed.

Here's my problem. I feel overwhelmed. There are so many options, I'm having a hard time sorting out what I should try first. I'm not one of those, 'I need 30k by the end of the week" guys. I just want to turn a profit.

So, can anyone give some pointers as to how to select what it is you want to do? The only things that I would stay away from are adult and gambling type stuff. I'd like to focus on stuff that might have a chance of surviving for a while and not just one-shot gimmick stuff.

If anyone is interested in giving some on-going advice via PM/email, I'd be happy to trade some design time for that. Or if you just want to share here, help a brotha out.

I don't need to make quick money - I'm in this for the long haul.

I think part of my problem is that I don't have any pressure to choose. I'm not doing this because I NEED to, I'm doing it because this is where I want to move my career to over the next few years.

Even though I also think the adult area is bad to do....but i need money badly so i also do it....

I also have been reading all over the forums and learned lots of stuff. I suggest you to get a journal and write down methods to sort every thing out. You should evaluate all the methods and mabe improve them if you can.....

I started them all at once but you should start doing it one by one...
You should set dates on when you should end and start projects....

30k by the end of the week is very hard and i think is unachieveable for me based on my knoledge because i am a noob...but it CAN happen, you never know!!

The truth is I'm on this business because I hated
jobs so much that I just had to quit.

I didn't like jobs because of the limits they had on
me and the fact that I had to trade my time for
the money.

On the other side the Internet is the opposite of
that, you can work anywhere you want and increase
your income as much as you want? if you do the
right things.

Now, about your question on what to select...

You have to do what people want. Forget about
what (you) want or your hobbies. Sure you can
make money doing what you love but the point is


IT HAS TO BE WHAT PEOPLE WANT.

This must not be confused with what people need.
We need clothing?s but most people don't purchase
clothes at Wal-Mart but they go to their local malls
to get designers clothes.

Do we really need to wear Hilfiger, Gucci or Versace?
NO but we want them. That's where the money is.

So my point is if you want to find the market, go
to Clickbank and search for those products that sell
well...

Steal their ideas and create a better product..

...If you didn't know, Ford Motors can create better
cars (like BMW) but why do they create crap like
Escorts?

Because they make more profit producing cheap
products. This is the same strategy China is using
against the US. So forget about your ego just go
where the money is.

The other thing I want to point out is about the
return on investment (ROI)

People have been dealing with adult/gambling
industry because it makes them money but you
have to take into account that it is also too
competitive and it might not bring you the return
you want unless you differentiate yourself but
that is another story.

We all know that (Making Money) is a very lucrative
industry but if every one is doing it then it might
NOT be worth the time and money for the return
you get.

Personally, I deal with dating and relationship
problems markets simply because people have
problems with these issues every day, so money
is always coming in.

I can make more money in this industry because
many people who market here are hobbyists or
scholars, so they don?t know much about marketing
and they are not tech savvy like few of us are.

Eben W. Pagan (David De Angelo) makes about
$20,000,000 a year in this industry

To sum up this wordy post I can say two things:

to win in this game you have to fill the needs of
what people want and this has to be driven purely
by the ROI

"What people want" is great advice Relaxin. I think its easy to forget that and get caught up in tools, methods etc.

And to clarify, I think there was a little misunderstanding earlier, I am NOT trying to do something silly like earn 30k by the end of the week. I'd be thrilled to turn $10 a day right now.

Yeah, it's probably where the vast majority of people are. What really sucks is when you move to break out of it and don't get any results. I suppose the answer is to just keep trying till you get it.

Follow the money, even in what you may think are gigantic markets you have no business in.
