Hello, as I mentioned in the title, how can I find sites with .de extension but with English content? Do you know of a site like this? In terms of SEO, would it be absurd to buy a .de domain and target English speakers in Germany? Because I couldn't find a site that works this way.

Go to Google.de and search for something in English. There are bound to be .de websites there.

I actually have a website with the .de extension with 100% English content and for some keywords, it easily outranks the .com. Of course the content is targeted at the German audience.

using google dork may help you, if you target spesific domain extension just use site:.de follow by your keyword

I'm a little confused about this. I'm not sure if Google prioritizes domains with country extensions. I even read a comment that implies that the power of the .de domain is reset by writing in English in the .de extension. Are relevant .com sites outpacing them because your site is stronger than them, or do you see an advantage of having a .de?

Hmmm. You want to target an english speaking audience that lives in Germany.
Are you trying to create backlinks by posting english content on .de websites?

I don't think your audience would spend time on .de domains if they don't speak german.
As you know .de is normally always in german.

I don't know about your approach, but if I was you I would just get a .com or .net
with a relevant domain name and optimize the content to fit your audience's searches.

Try this tool https://boardreader.com
Line up all the parameters to the sites in advance (so that the zone is .de) and type something in English into the search (with the prefix of the type of site you want)

I can't say anything substantive on this subject as this site is a passion project as I'm somewhat of a subject matter expert. I've only done On-Page SEO and have written high-quality content without link-building. Over time, some articles started to reach page one and started getting traffic, often outranking the .com.

However, the "rise" of the rankings seems somewhat slower as what I would've expected. If I ever decide to focus on this in the future, I'd get the .com version and 301 all existing pages to it.

I don't know about the reset theory, but I only got the .de as the.com was taken. I don't think there is any advantage of getting the .de over then .com. I'd recommend using a .com for the English website.

I have a question. Can anyone register a .de domain without necessarily living in Germany or having a German address?
