Engagement suddenly dropped

In one day I have gone from 5-15k likes per picture to barely reaching 1k.

Has this happened to anyone else recently and is there anyway of regaining my engagement?

My engagement has dropped significantly in the last 2 months and I too have no idea why. I'm sort of freaking out. It's as if my reach has dropped by half.

My impressions due to hashtags dropped to near 0. And my engagement is now halved.

Are those like organic or bots? Because nowadays instagram are quite strict with those bots thing and they are clearing it up

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am botting, yes. Only f/u and likes.

Is this a confirmed thing that Instagram is throttling people's engagement that are botting or what?

Some have never even botted, there must have been a change in algos recently

I wonder if they are going to depart and build a new app to rival IG now? I am sure there were Non-compete clauses in whatever contracts were origianlly signed between FB and IG, if not zucks may be fucked.

I read somewhere (ascend or mpsocial, cant remember) that the cause is from posting via a bot, not necessarily f/u botting.

I don't know about that. My engagement has dropped to about 40% of what it was and while I f/u with a bot, everything I post is on my own. (Although I do use the Later app - but it's allowed)

I am just now beginning to walk after dragging myself out of this hole.

The followers that come from botted f/uf and likes are SHIT. Look at your activity feed...see how 90% of your followers follow without liking a single photo? They don't engage on your photos.They wont comment. They just follow back cuz they feel like they should or just never use IG etc. When IG sees this behavior growing, it thinks you suck and the ago pulls your account way down everyone's feed.

On the other hand, when I pay for an ad, about 1/3 to half of the new followers will like a few photos. Not only does this show that they are much higher quality accounts, but they have given the algorithm data that I am worth showing to them.


There are +9 billion accounts out there but you only want a few of those following you...trust me.
