Hello guys. Propose to discuss IG ratio (like + comments)
What ratio you think is good and what is bad ?

How many likes should gain post depends on total amount of followers ? (in percentage %)

I will start :
I have some accounts with 100k followers each where posts gain about 1k+ likes, what means only 1%
(i do not have fake followers - i started all my accs from 0 and now daily I'm getting 600+ new followers)

P.s. Some times i see different accounts in the same niche with almost the same content, but with absolutely different ratio. For example in first case 1% in second even 5%+ - how can be that ?

Without looking at the other accounts, we can only presume higher quality photos, better headlines, and/or hashtags.
Of course, if they are not in the same niche as yours, that could also be the reason why?

Do you do follow/unfollow, or follow/unfollow/likes, etc? Sometimes people will follow you but not like your photos if you don't like theirs, etc.

What niche are you in?

Follow/unfollow without likes
I have a lot of different niches (i have already PMed you about that;)

it has many different factors to it. Maybe those high percentages accounts interact more with followers, that could be in dm or comments. They could be in like groups, better timing of posts, better captions that makes people engage more.

I myself am not a big fan of botting with bigger accounts, as many just follow you back because you follow them. You could start liking followers pictures (although I am not sure if this works with a 100k account). Are you using the stories function? As the instagramfeed is not in chronological order anymore, some people dont see your posts. When you use the stories function, people have an extra option to see your account. Also when using this make it as attractive as possible, so that people get the urge to check out your account.

Lately I just focus on what goes viral at my page and at what time. I know can make 80% of my posts go viral, which results in a higher engament ratio. It takes some time to get a better understanding of how to do this with your account, but it is definitely worth.

I've notice a range in ratio with my accounts from 3-7%. My theory is that it's the demographics. The age bracket of the different niches. I've noticed the niches that target younger audiences tend to have a higher engagement ratio. I'm guessing they're on their mobiles more!

On average on small accounts it's easier to keep an high engagement.

When we talk about 100k+ followers the engagement ratio depends on the niche. For example usually the travel one has more engagement than the luxury one. After the new also change, you should always find engagement from 1% to 3,5-4%.

If they have an higher engagement you know for sure that they are in like groups or under power likes of big users.

What? You can definitely get higher than 4% engagement without being in groups or getting power likes.

I agree with this. I have 99K account (not in groups/powerlikes/shoutouts etc) and my lowest engagement as of now is 6% and that rarely happen. Normally I got between 8-15&%. My highest is between 20-25% :). The secret is carefully picking every photo you post.

Damn, that's pretty impressive. Congrats. How often do you post a day if I may ask?

I carefully chose every pic i will post. Of course using caption+hashtags. Maybe i follow not active users or users with another interests

Can you provide example of some pics you posting ?

I'm also trying to find out if users follow you because you follow them, and like your posts because you like theirs.

What do you guys find works best for you in the long run. After a while, your account will grow over 100K and you won't be following/unfollowing and liking 2K-10K posts a day.

So, what works best for you in the long run?

The best will be growing by posting and interacting with other accounts. that will spark true intereset and engagement

Yeah, pretty much already do that, posting; interacting, comments is just so time consuming and can't be done automated because you can't post "I really like that" on a post of a person that posted that they lost their pet, or family member; or a photo of a bad meal, or the Italian earthquake, etc."

Also, I don't know how those with 50K-100K+ accounts can manage posting on everyone's accounts in one day. So, what do they do? Just post, reply to the comments on their own posts, and nothing else? I'd like to know.

i have no experience with commenting in bulk. I only interact via dm or just post a small of relevant comments per day. so thinking of 10, but if those 10 are really personal they will have a better effect.

There is a talking trend to block non active users. So as you will get less fake followers, your engagement rate will raise, so instagram will also tend to priority your account in the feed
