Engagement on IG

I have a few little questions on engagement on instagram.

1. Does your engagement percentage go up from story views? Or does the story have to have a poll and what ever they select from the poll counts as engagement?

2. I post once a day and sometimes once a day on Instagram story I get around 400 likes a day and in stories I get around 500 views. My question is should I be focused on stories or regular position on Instagram, pretty much what’s better for engagement ?

3. Is engagement on instagram just LIKES?
Do comments count as engagement also?
Stories views? Video post views? Or do all count as engagement?

4.when people DM you from your story does that count as engagement?

What should I focus on? Post per day or stories or stories with polls?

Focus on high quality content and use stories to interact with your followers or to update them about something.
