Engagement Drop because of FL?

In another thread I mentioned that I had around 10k followers and was getting past 1000 likes on most of my posts. Started using FL and following the followers of the authorities in my niche.... The accounts that I was having the best follow back ratios with. Built my following to around 35k now and I'm lucky if I get a post that goes past 1000 likes. I get a lot better comment engagement than I previously did but where ar the likes? I have two accounts that I have built that I can say this for. Someone in the other thread said that I'm the victim of the FL engagement drop that happened and I'm completely in the dark on this. When did this happen and what is it?

when following large accounts, make sure to use accounts who have the best engagement on their posts because then you know their followers, which you'll be scraping, will give you great engagement also. Regarding your FL problem, I don't know the answer to sorry.

It's not specific to FL, I'm also experiencing this doing manual. It's just Instagram who limits your engagement at one point (which differs for each account).

The engagement drop has hit a few of my accounts but others it hasn't. All of them are running FL. Not sure what the cause is yet.

I think instagram recognize when you follow to get followers in exchange

I am effected by this and I don't use the follow method.

I use multiple bots and some of my accounts are affected by the engagement drop.

i'm confused. how are they limiting engagement? are they removing images from other users' feeds?
