People ask this all the time on the forum. Should you revive an old page, buy an aged account, or just start from zero.

This is what I think - there isn't one answer. Depends entirely on what happened to the account before.

Keep the old account if:
• it used to get decent views
• the audience still matches your niche
• it hasn't been hit with alot of restrictions
• it already has 20k–30k+ followers

In these cases, an old account can take off faster than a fresh one. The algorithm already knows something about the page, which saves time.

Make a new account if:
• you're changing niche completely
• the account has been dead for months
• every upload gets restrictions or weird reach issues
• performance has been terrible for 2–3 months straight

At some point you're just fighting old signals. Starting fresh is often easier then trying to fix a broken account forever.

What I usually do:

If the old account shows even a little bit of life, test it properly first.
Post at least 20–30 pieces of content and see what happens (not 3-5 videos ! )

If nothing moves, move on..

Make a new account and stop wasting weeks trying to revive something that's already cooked.
Funny enough, we've seen fresh accounts outperform pages that sat inactive for years within a few days.
People massively overestimate account age and underestimate content quality.

In 2026, content is still above all

I agree. People worry too much about account age. If an old account still gets some reach, keep testing it. If it's dead after 20–30 posts, start fresh. Good content matters more than account age.
