End of the World - A $200 Refund

Just when I thought I had a solid week as a Clickbank affiliate and joyfully checked the transaction records, I was shocked by this $200 refund from a sale last week, and 2 upsells coming along with it. The product was a training course released by Clickbank itself.

It made me kind of depressed as $200 was more than half of my earnings last week.

Moreover, contrary to my expectations, Clickbank doesn't subtract the refunds from the earnings on dashboard, it seems that we have to check the analytic or transactions record to see these the refunds, which can cause some unpleasant surprises.

I wonder if there is anyone having similar experiences.

I've never had any $200 sales yet. I've only had maybe... 7 sales mostly between $30-$60. Only ever had one of them refunded. Otherwise has been pretty great.

Personally. I'm surprised that there's not a lot more. I find that so many products on Clickbank are garbage lol but I still try to sell them :)

It happens. Welcome to selling online (or just in general really). There are a ton of different reasons why this could have happened. Just move on, that's the best thing to do. There is no point in dwelling over it, just keep pushing. It sounds like you're on the right track with some money generated - at some point you will lose a percentage of it. For information products it might even be a high refund rate (like 10%) so expect to lose that every month and when you come up short of that then take the extra money and take your family out to dinner ;)

I haven't been very active with Clickbank lately, although my biggest refund was only about $35 back when I did use it. I used to frequently check the analytics data, so that's how I discovered the refund (like you said, it doesn't appear on the dashboard).

You can try to reduce the refund rate as much as you can by providing an honest ad copy and landing page, although a refund can and will happen even if you do this (some consumers will get a refund even if they enjoyed the product).

A lot of things happened the same.

This happens because you are promoting a product nonsense.
As ebook create rich quick.

I hate refund too, but it's CB choice, they affraid because these customer can take this to the court

money is not yours till it's in your pocket, forget it and make more sales :)

If you promote ebooks and training courses there is a higher risk of refunds.Try promoting more software and plugin products.I think that the refund rates are lower.
