So, this is what the inventor of Adblock making with the money Google gave him: smoking pot and making happy-happy joy hippie youtube clips.
On a serious note, what I love about adblock is that it detects and blocks the annoying video ads from many other sites, including southpkark studios website. Whenever you're trying to watch an episode, you're interrupted at 8 minutes period to see a bunch video commercials of 20 secs each (i've didn't find something more annoying around until now). Therefore, I agree with blocking the annoying ads that are limiting the access at website, have sounds and annoying graphics.

I don't think adblock harms anyone:
1. it's used by techy people who would ignore ads anyway
2. it progresses the future of web innovation; advertisers have to get more creative
It's like what's happening with TV shows...the pirates had their say and producers had to respond (notice the increase in product placement recently, as just one example).
It's democracy and internet users will decide what they want.

Yep. CPA advertisements, especially when cloaked, are an example of an ad that the best ad blocker has trouble blocking. So are ads negotiated outside of an ad network. And paid text links, for that matter.

I'm kind of conflicted about this. I just watched an Elder Scrolls Online video on Youtube. I was subjected to a forced 30 second ad before the video started, and then a popunder in the middle of the video. Annoying!
However, not considering the obvious bias we have as internet marketers, what is the end goal here? Search engines we have to pay to use? Social networks we have to pay to use? Will less invasive advertising earn enough revenue to keep the monster fed?

there are two adblocker from two different devs!
adblock plus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adblock_Plus
adblock: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdBlock_(Chrome)
the first one is the "original" firefox addon, which was not immediately ported to chrome when it was released.
don't know why, but it was a mistake because someone else was faster and build the second one. that is now the more popular addon for chrome.
so the guy in the video made the second blocker and the developer from the first one made some serious big money with his whitelist shit!

I've seen a few sites that detect adblocker and simply tell the visitors to fu*k off! (ok, the last bit isn't true). Simply redirecting the buggers to an affiliate site is kinda fun though. Oh the irony!
