Hey guys.

What is the easiest way to encrypt my pc/files?

if u r concerned too much about security use pgp encryption.os like tails have built in

Bitlocker is by far the best encryption tool I have worked with. Once you turn it on you have to log in either with a password, a pin, or a USB key and only then can you access your files (It integrates with windows so you put the password in either at boot time or at the windows login screen).

By default I think the encryption strength is 128bit but you can change it to 256bit in group policy - you can google that.

You can also use trusted platform, or you can use password at boot - google how to enable that as well.

Its also only in certain versions of windows.

If you use it, or any other encryption tool, be sure to take a backup of your recovery keys in case you forget your password, or your computer fails and you have to boot the drive up from another computer.

If you don't have bitlocker or you want a free alternative then you can also look at discryptor - its a free encryption tool that works in a very similar way to bitlocker and its also pretty decent - if you use it, make sure you back up your header file from within diskcryptor and store that somewhere safe in case the header ever becomes corrupt.
