It should be nearly instantly. On Cloudflare it is instantly.

Usually you don't need to wait to get an SSL certificate for your domain when you use something like lets encrypt.
If you use some panel like cloudflare, it doesn't take any longer than a minute as well.

I use namecheap hosting, they give you free SSL which you can install in couple of minutes in cPanel.

SSL i've found to be quite instantaneous.

My favourite SSL providers are namecheap and porkbun.

SSL comes free with namecheap hosting and free with porkbun registration.
