EMD with dashes in it

purchased an EMD with dashes in it. When I use the keyword in tags and SEO, should I remove the dashes or leave them in? TIA for your input.

the EMD keyword have dashes already or the seller didn't find the EMD and sell it for you
with dashes if this then it's not EMD my friend !
 
Just because there is hyphen in domain name doesn't mean that you also put hyphens in content, keywords ;) Keep it hyphen free.
 
Well, domain with hyphens is not called EMD. You should remove hyphen from your content, keywords.

Have you ever seen anyone typing in keywords in Google with dashes?
 
Unless people generally type dashes your targeted keywords on the search engine, then you should. But I don't think its a common practice so just exclude them from your anchor text.
 
I own a domain with hyphens as well and never ever ever ever ever use the hyphens anywhere on your site.
 
Don't even think about including hyphens in your keywords. A lot of people will probably say it is a bad idea to have got the domain you did, but i see domains with 3 or 4 hyphens in rank #1.

I thought the same about the domain having them but google reads between them with no problem at all.

Exactly, it's not an EMD. You should really have chosen a better domain. Poor keyword research.

^This is true. G00gl is a search engine and doesn't care the domain got a hyphen or not. It will still rank well as long as you do the backlinking process properly.
 
Even if the keyword has dashes in it, i.e: t-shirts

tshirts.com will be easier to rank than t-shirts.com

Just my observation. Obviously, any domains can rank with enough links.
 
I don't have a problem getting my site ranked on the first page but I can never get it to the #1 spot if it has hyphens in it. Very annoying.
 
Remove them... Google is ignoring them in the domain name, so good buy
