Hello,

I have two domain, both are EMDs of same keyword (for US market), I want to know which is better?

I know .com is much better than .us, but for .net, which is better?

Looking forward to your replies.

Google has said that the TLD you use doesn't really matter for rankings. They even made it clear .edu domains had no advantage over any other domains. I would go for .net just because it might seem a little more usual to visitors, but it is up to you.

Peterhotmann,

xPWN1t has it right. As far as search engines are concerned, it does not matter which TLD you use. As far as people are concerned though, that is debatable. .coms (and I would guess .orgs, .edus and .govs) are more trusted by users because of their commonality as well as the trust they evoke. For example people trust educational institutions and (believe it or not) government websites.

I would go with whatever domain is perceived to be more trustworthy by users.

Best,

Shawn
