What will be the best option for a new domain in a niche? As example i use ''phonebook''. It's for the dutch market only.

So phonebook dot NL and com is taken.

What will be your best option?

phonebookinfo dot nl
phonebook dot info
phonebook dot net

Or?

I think that's its all about the on/offpage seo and quality content and tld doesnt matter that much. But i can be wrong:)

Thanks!

If I were you, I wouldn't go for EMD. They have little to no effect. I would go for a nice domain with .com

.COM is the king and .NET is the Queen of tld. At times .info looks like a spam website. I would choose what is known to many users. If .COM is taken, I would choose .net with closed eyes.

I would go with the .NET tld.

First .net obviously then .org

EMD does have an effect.

Net is probably the next best thing to try.
But agree with above, EMD does not give you a massive benefit these days so you could just as well look for an expired domain with some nice metrics and use that.

As HostSEO said, you should go with a .com domain, especially if you plan on making a serious website. EMD only matters for Yahoo/Bing.

Please show me the data that .COM is king and .NET is queen
