EMD purchased 4 months ago, now what

I have an EMD, I'm on the fourth page of my keyword using nothing but free blking and on page seo.

My ONLY question, how in the world do I get the EMD the first page/home page to rank for other keywords in the niche??? Many of my competitors rank for multiple keywords but none have the proper on page SEO for it. How do they do it? Simply backlinking???

Your site i new and you don't mention anything about the webstructure for your competitors. A lot of unique content can make a big difference.

Chances are your competitors have solid backlinks with some great domain trust rank. Take a look at the homepage PR, its probably 5+ depending on the niche. Some may even have hundreds of thousands of links.

Is it a .com EMD? If so great, you'll have an easier time becoming the 'authority' domain. I own a .COM EMD in a competitive niche and before I even launched the site I had links to it from people thinking they were linking to the .NET. They simply assumed that the .NET was a .COM and I received a ton of links that way.

Now if your in a smaller niche, you won't gain links that way so you'll need to continue building out the website with content and of course, solid links. Try and build a nice infrastructure of Web 2.0 sites, and hit those hard with some Scrapebox, Xrumer, and other supporting backlinks.

As you begin to move up in the rankings, start thinking of creative ways that you can get good links from solid sites with PR. Maybe you can do a guest post or two on bloggers that are in your niche and get some nice links that way.

Here is how you rank for multiple keywords:
-your main page is your blog (not a static page)
-500-1000 word unique posts targeting related keywords
-backlink those posts

Keep at the backlinking part of this process and you'll move up
for those keywords.

The highest PR for my competitors is like 3.

Their backlinking structure is very diverse and it appears they have used some of the common backlinking services.

I will go after some services later, for the time I will focus on building great content, thank you for the help!!
