Hi people! How are all you?

I have a little question. What would you do with that?

I have a keyword. Good one! :) Not easy, but no the hardest to rank. But I need to choose between:

A: Buy a new EMD domain for that keyword/project.
B: Buy a new niche domain to rank this keyword and the longtails..
C: Use an old (8 years) generic domain, with no pagerank, with a few backlinks from the previous owners.

What do you suggest?

A & B are new domains, it will cost a little more to rank than C (I think) but until now I never tried to rank anything in a generic old domain, but I was told it works.

Wait for comments!! Thanks

I would suggest A. Buy a new EDM domain. It might cost a little but it's worth compare to what you get. It's depending on what you promote and the searches for that EMD. Anything more than 2000+ searches for EMD, is it worth of buying. -Just my 2 cents :)

Any other comment?

Depending on the domain name itself as long as it covered the broad general topic of my site I would probably opt for C.

Go for something brandable and capable of encompassing all sub topics without being overly broad. EMD will provide you with no additional benefit only chose it if it'll work for your sites "brand".

If your phrase is only 2 keywords you can try EMD. About that old domain it is good choice if it wasnt dropped for 8 years. You can try both and see which one will rank faster.

I would go for the 8 year old domain in a heartbeat before the others.

Thanks for comments people!!!!
