EMD .info VS. Non EMD .COM?

Honestly, the EMD .info. In my experience, EMD's no matter what the extension, just carry too much weight.

Well, not .biz/.tv/.me. .info would be the lowest i would go.

People really seem to have varying opinions about .infos... I like .com non-emds better.
Let him continue scratching his head. The extension is irrelevant in search, an EMD is an EMD.

For niche sites, I'd prefer EMD .info but for something substantial like business site or a site in long-run, then would prefer non EMD .com

You have to specify first the use of the domain like the answer above. If it is for Business/affiliate i'd go for non EMD .com because .com=trust. For MNS i can go for .info.

That makes a lot of sense. I'm only looking at ranking here, not name recognition for returning visitors. Its an EMD search term.

Then an EMD would be your best bet.

I choose EMD or non EMD depending on the niche. How would you go for an EMD, when the site is something like yahoo, google, etc. or some humor site. If it's a niche site, then I would go for an EMD.info for sure.

Since it's 50-50, then I'd go for EMD .info. My only concern is that .info are on sale everywhere now for $1.99, so Google may/will discount .info to the .biz world.
