[EMD] How do I get through this situation?

I am thinking to rank for a low competitive keyword, but that EMD is already acquired. There is no site on this domain but instead a line to submit our offer to acquire this domain.

Suppose my keyword is "American Express" and AmericanExpress.com is already acquired. Can I register ExpressAmerican.com and still get the same benefit of that EMD? I don't like to risk and waste my time if it is of no use to register and build a site around this domain.

Please someone help me.

Nope! expressamerican.com will not get the same benefit as americanexpress.com. Why not buy a domain with hyphen in the domain like american-express.com?

I had a hard time ranking those type of domains american-express.com. Btw, to my badness it is also registered.
