EMD .co or .com with suffix

Here is my story...I found solid KW, started a website (a year ago), put some articles (100) and didnt care too much about the website (started my other project).

Recently, saw the states and the site is ranking catastrophic (a few visitors Daily). For domain name i choosed EMD with .co and I think that I did a huge misstake (I was listening lies from G stuff about domain extensions and that it is not immportant if your site is .com, .net, .cc, .co etc and I followed them blindly)

Now, the plan is to move my site to let's say KWsite.com

Is this right choice, or should I keep my site on existing EMD.co and start to build backlinks?

If the competition is low then it's not worth switching, with a little SEO you should be able to rank it, otherwise go ahead and get a KWsuffix.com.

22k Monthly Searches (Local)
$10.55 CPC
213 is ranking difficulty according to spyfu

in top 50
21 Keywords in Title
12 Keywords in URL
14 Homepages
0 Gov, Edu Domains

NO don't do that
leave it as is.
.co .com .net .org all the same

I say go for it, you will not get far with .co Honestly never seen a .co domain on first page of Google and most people are not familiar with the extension.

i was #1 with a .co and i made lots of cash,i think 95% of them was thinking is a com )

.com is usually the more trustworthy tld, but if you're doing fine with the .co, there's no reason to switch. you may keep the .com version just so others don't cybersquat it.

So it is better to stay with .co?
Commpetition is not so weak, in top 10, there are articles from 4 high authority sites and also a YouTube video, but there are no competitors with much or strong backlinks.
